La Corvette Marseille - Aleppo Soap - 200g

This soap is cooked in a cauldron according to the traditional manufacturing process, in its original city in Aleppo, Syria. 

The advantages of this soap are; it is hypoallergenic, it is ideal for skin care guaranteed fragrance-free, colourless, preservative-free and palm oil-free.

Aleppo soap was used by Queen Cleopatra of Egypt and Queen Zenobia of Syria and it is commonly thought that the process of soap-making emanated from the Levant region (of which Aleppo is a main city) and to have moved west from there to Europe after the first Crusades.

Who is La Corvette Marseille?

Founded in Marseille, France in 1894, Savonnerie du Midi is one of the last historic soap factories in Marseille to perpetuate the recipe and know-how of traditional Marseille soap.

Steeped in history, this factory is located at the bottom of the Carmes valley, in the Aygalades district in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille.
