Suzun Bennet’s passion for skin health began with her grandfather, Dr. Francis Alexander Bennet, Australia’s first skin doctor. Inspired by his legacy, Suzun developed an early fascination with skincare, which she pursued during her time in London in the 1970s. While working at Culpepper, a renowned traditional herbalist, she gained invaluable experience managing over 160 herbs and creating herbal skin and hair care formulations.
Back in Sydney, Suzun’s interest in natural therapies flourished. She studied Osteopathy and Chiropractic, incorporating essential oils and holistic practices into her work. In 1994, she founded the Kulini Wellness Centre in Bondi, combining her expertise in yoga, Ayurveda, and therapeutic oils. There, she offered courses in Ayurvedic cooking and wellness, further solidifying her dedication to holistic health.
At 50, Suzun moved to New York, where harsh climates and constant air conditioning left her skin dry and irritated, and high-end skincare products failed to help. Determined to find a solution, Suzun returned to her roots, formulating her own skincare blends in her kitchen using organic oils and herbal infusions.
This personal journey led to the creation of Suzun Bennet Skincare—a brand dedicated to nourishing, protecting, and revitalising mature skin. Rooted in her passion for natural therapies, the line reflects her unwavering commitment to organic, high-quality ingredients and her desire to help others achieve healthy, radiant skin.
